On the afternoon of November 6th, representatives from Singapore’s AiPilot, iFLYTEK, and the Association for Research on AI-assisted Language Learning (ARAILL) paid a productive visit to the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language for an exchange. The exchange, themed “Application of AI Technology in Teaching”, aimed to explore innovative applications of artificial intelligence in the field of language education and look forward to future cooperation prospects.

The Director, master teachers, lecturers, and colleagues from the operational departments of the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language warmly received the visiting delegation. Dr. Foo Suan Fong, the Director, first introduced to the delegation the development history, mission, curriculum offerings, and research features of the Centre for Chinese Language. He mentioned that the Centre for Chinese Language has always been committed to becoming an excellent Chinese language teaching and research center as well as a training center in a bilingual environment, and has developed a Singaporean local curriculum framework covering four major modules: strategies and methods, knowledge and literacy, testing and evaluation, and curriculum and research. At the same time, the center has also carried out in-depth cooperation with many universities at home and abroad to jointly promote the development of Chinese language education.
Subsequently, Mr. Fang Lü, a representative of the visiting delegation, introduced iFLYTEK’s innovative achievements and successful cases in the field of artificial intelligence language education. As a leading enterprise in the field of artificial intelligence, iFLYTEK has made the latest progress in speech recognition, natural language processing, and artificial intelligence-assisted language learning. Mr. Fang Lü stated that iFLYTEK is committed to applying artificial intelligence technology in the education sector to provide more efficient and personalized learning tools for teachers and students.
The representative of the Singapore Association for Artificial Intelligence in Language Education shared the association’s efforts and achievements in promoting artificial intelligence-assisted language learning. The association is committed to carrying out research and development work on advanced artificial intelligence-assisted language learning, and through organizing various related projects, it fully promotes the inheritance, enhancement, and development of language and culture.

During the communication session, all visiting parties and the organizers conducted in-depth discussions on various topics regarding the application of AI technology in teaching. They unanimously agreed that the application of artificial intelligence technology in teaching has broad prospects and great potential. By utilizing AI technology, functions such as personalized learning, auxiliary teaching, automatic grading and feedback can be realized, thereby improving teaching effectiveness and students’ learning experience.

Looking ahead, all visiting parties stated that they will further strengthen cooperation with the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language, jointly promote the innovative application of artificial intelligence in the field of language education, and enhance personnel exchanges and training to improve the AI literacy and application capabilities of teachers and students.
This visit and exchange not only deepened the understanding of AiPilot, iFLYTEK, and the Singapore Association for Artificial Intelligence in Language Education towards the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language, but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation. It is believed that with joint efforts, artificial intelligence will play a greater role in the field of language education and make greater contributions to cultivating more outstanding talents.
