As the pages turn, stories gently bloom at the fingertips; children’s hearts also grow quietly with each reading.
This year, the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning in Singapore and the Artificial Intelligence in Education Association have joined hands for the first time. Leveraging the power of AI intelligent technology, they grandly launched the first [National Primary and Secondary School Reading Fun Competition] — opening a brand-new door to Chinese language and culture for more than 300,000 primary and secondary school students across the country.
At the intersection of technology and education, an unprecedented reading festival is quietly unfolding. With AI large models setting questions, reviewing them, and evaluating entries, this year’s competition breaks the boundaries of human resources and time, allowing every child who loves reading to embark on a journey through words, searching for their own light among thousands of stories.

Official designated book lists, professional teachers leading the reading, and AI robots accompanying the reading — through every warm interaction and every vivid reading, children no longer face the text alone. Instead, they have an intelligent companion who knows how to listen and respond patiently, accompanying them through the maze of understanding time and time again, until they reach the field of expression.
The AI robot TalkiCardo does more than just recite; it can also connect to the wisdom of large models to adjust its responses according to children’s rhythm and questions. The warmth of technology is quietly safeguarding every inquisitive heart, turning the learning of Chinese from a dull task into an adventure filled with curiosity and a sense of accomplishment.

On this special day, we are honored to invite Dr. Chua Chee Lay to attend the event and lead the parent-child reading session in person. Dr. Chua is a renowned cultural scholar, a local writer, and even the Chinese teacher of the founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew. Dr. Chua will guide the children through the river of stories and experience the warmth of words together.
At the same time, an AI robot’s intelligent companion learning will be showcased live at the venue. Between humanities and technology, children will experience that reading is not just a journey on paper, but also a series of spiritual dialogues.
