On June 18, 2024, Mr. Fang Lü, Vice President of the Singapore Artificial Intelligence Education Association, visited the Center for Language Exchange and Cooperation between China and Foreign Countries and had in-depth and fruitful exchanges with the center’s leaders. The purpose of this meeting was to promote cooperation between the two sides in the field of artificial intelligence language education and jointly drive the innovation and development of language learning methods.
At the exchange meeting, Mr. Fang Lü introduced the association’s latest research achievements and development directions to the leaders of the Center for Language Exchange and Cooperation. He emphasized that with the rapid development of science and technology, the application of artificial intelligence technology in the field of language education has become an irresistible trend, and simultaneously demonstrated a newly developed learning companion robot, which can provide students with personalized learning guidance and companionship. Through the actual demonstration, the leaders of the Center for Language Exchange and Cooperation spoke highly of the intelligence and practicality of this learning product and expressed the hope that there would be more opportunities to carry out in-depth cooperation with the association in the future.
In the second half of the exchange meeting, both parties conducted in-depth discussions on the impact of artificial intelligence on language learning and how to build a bridge for language exchange between China and foreign countries. Mr. Fang Lü stated that artificial intelligence can not only provide personalized learning experiences, but also help students master language knowledge more effectively through technologies such as big data analysis and machine learning. At the same time, he also emphasized the importance of cross-cultural communication, believing that artificial intelligence can serve as a bridge connecting different cultures and languages.
Leaders from the Language Cooperation Center expressed their agreement and pointed out that with the in-depth development of globalization, language communication is playing an increasingly important role in promoting mutual understanding and cooperation among different cultures. They hope to explore more cooperation possibilities with the association and promote the extensive application and development of artificial intelligence in the field of language education.
This exchange conference not only deepened the friendship and mutual trust between the Singapore Artificial Intelligence Education Association and the Chinese and Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation Center, but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation between the two parties. We look forward to the near future when both parties can join hands to launch more practical projects related to language learning and promotion.
